MSAND November 2016 Newsletter

Greetings!

I would like to thank everyone who submitted their resumes for the position of Second Century Liaison to the Academy. Alisha Jones was selected to represent our affiliate. Alisha’s job will be to keep MSAND members informed of what we can expect leading up to and during FNCE 2017.

We are still looking for a State Policy Representative. The State Policy Representative (SPR) monitors and keeps members informed on key state legislative issues. Throughout the year it is important for the SPR to take the lead in meeting with the state legislators who serve on committees with jurisdiction on issues impacting food, nutrition and health legislation. This outreach helps build relationships and increase visibility of the profession. If you are interested, please send your resume to [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who reviewed and voted on the bylaw revision. It has passed unanimously! We are excited to keep moving MSAND ahead.

There are only 47 days left in 2016! Time passes quickly. Take time to appreciate one another. I’m thankful for all of you!

Sincerely,
LaShaundrea
